How to do a reasonable use of time??
It's the first time to play , the time of every day feels very insufficient:steamfacepalm:

do not feel like you need to maximize the amount of time/energy you spend each day doing so will only cause you to get burned out, you are ment to take your time and enjoy yourself so do what you want to do in any givin day then go to bed and save everything else for later, if you just wanna wake up check your crops then go back to bed for a week straight go right ahead and do it

i too had this problem, and the person who made the previous comment has a very good suggestion. you can certainly take your time and enjoy the game at your pace and not worry about the days.

if thats not your cup of tea, there are mods that let you change the left of a day. i believe at base 10 minutes in game is 6 or 7 seconds in real life. I set mine to be 30 seconds in real life. that way i have time for everything. the mod i use for this is "timespeed"

Just set realistic goals and just have fun with it if you find that you're running out of things to do or need some quality of life improvements check out the modding scene

That's the point. The time pressure is what makes Stardew Valley a game rather than a simple simulator.

You can't do everything on any given day. You have to pick a primary goal. You have to do regular everyday chores (like watering your plants) and then pick one other major thing to attempt (with, possibly, one or two closely related secondary goals).

Usually my first thing to do is watering and harvesting/planting the crops and after that, feeding and petting the animals (obviously only if any of these is necessary). After that it's pretty much about whatever i feel like to it.

Otherwise, if you really want to maximize your time, then it's probably worth taking a look into the speedrunning community, because they've usually the most knowledge about this kind of stuff. You can also take a look into SDV content creators, if you don't want to take it so serious, but still want to get ideas of what is worth doing in a more optimized playthrough.

But obviously, as others said (and how i handle it as well), rather play the way you are. Most challenges of this game are just about investing time, so even if you're slower, you still reach the same achievements as everyone else eventually.

You don't need to have a crazy productive day every day, it's a very forgiving and chill game.

Yes the time does feel very limited but that's partly because you're new and have a TON of "to-do's' I usually commit to one task a day and then do other smaller stuff if it's on my way. So sometimes I'll spend all day mining, fishing, etc. Trust me, you have more time than you think so just relax and have fun!

at the start it can feel like a lot. progression doesn't need to happen on a schedule though. just take care of your farm, fish with your leftover energy, and visit the mines on days where you have less to do. as you upgrade tools and improve skills you'll become more efficient.
I've seen lots of videos of people min-maxing and striving for productivity perfection, and lots of videos of people just doing whatever they feel like doing even if it's not the most efficient, and both styles of playing were successful at getting a good farm evaluation from grandpa and happy players in the end. You can do well no matter how you choose to play, so do what suits you.

One time I did a whole year of Stardew without doing any farming at all. Every day I foraged, fished, and mined, and didn't plant any crops at all until spring year 2. I was still able to meet goals and get a good evaluation from grandpa in the end. It's a very flexible game. So many ways to play.

that being said - if you're spending too much time watering plants, make your garden smaller, just let half of it die, after you harvest next.

if you find yourself too busy you can make yourself 'less busy' you know?

if you still want to min max it you can consult guides

if thats still not enough mods cover this if you find you can't get on top of it.

Enjoy every day, there's no good or bad way to play Stardew Valley. There's no end game, no win or lose, just enjoyable moments. Explore, do what you like.

you can only gift people 2 gifts a week. so can wait til most are in evening at tavern Sat and I think Fri night and do multiple at once. rather then hunting down, (dont forget you can 3rd gift for their birthday)
check weather before bed, then get your bag ready for the next day, rain put farming tools away take twhat you need and head to mines unless you going to spend day somewhere fishing for rain fish. just plan ahead so if you get your bag ready for the following dday just before u go to bed then you can just up and go.
watering always do first (well i do) maybe have different days for different things,
Time gets easier as you progress and upgrade things
remember in Winter there isnt much farming if any (unless you grow winter seeds) so winter mostly fishing/making friends/mining. Sometimes I neglect the villages in some play throughs until Winter. Dont make your farm to big if you cant handle it yet, later the watering can be automatic for bigger farm.
As you learn the game you will find your own way on how you like to do it, theres no this is better or that is better.
If you put down a tile/flooring and then put sprinkler or scarecrow on the tile when you til the land with an upgraded hoe you wont pick up what ever is on the tile.
