Questions about getting 10 hearts with everyone

I was planning to get 10 hearts with everyone but then i realize that i gotta be boyfriend with the sinlge ones, my question was if thats possible and what happend if i marry and i get other girlfriends/boyfriends just to get the 10 hearts

I don't recommend it unless you really like drama or want to metagame. If you want to know precisely what happens, keep on reading.

If you reach 10 hearts with all bachelors or bachelorettes there will be an 'intervention' where they all gang up on you and confront you about cheating on all of them at once and will effectively ruin your relationships with all of them and cause a pretty good deal of negative friendship, they'll even refuse to talk or do much of anything with you. The only way to mitigate this is to have a rabbit's foot in your inventory when the event takes place and instead they'll just gossip.

Personally, it's not my cup of tea to be in that situation. And the way CA managed to make it so that people who you're not dating can only go up to 8 so it's 8/8 instead of 8/10 which is a good 'completionist' workaround for me.

But you get the achievement if you got 8 hearts with the singles villagers?

I don't think I know which achievement you mean, I have all of the achievements save for the prarie king ones and I've never cheated or gotten all the romances to 10

Oh yeah, keep in mind people you can't date like Jody or Demetrius you'll be able to get to 10 with them no problem because there's no romantic connotations, it's just the available villagers you need to tread lightly with.
