Super Cucumber... a myth?

Now I know that this "fish" is not a myth and is definitely catchable, but I have had zero luck so far with it. I'm on Winter 23 of my first year and have spent from 6pm - 1am almost every day trying to fish for and catch it. I've caught more than 20 squids during this time, which supposedly have the exact same hours and location as the Super Cucumber.

Am I doing something wrong? Is the Super Cucumber not really catchable in Winter?

What! That's absurd. I caught that super cucumber fair and square, and I caught it with my bare hands. I should get double credit for that.

It's quite possible the Wiki is wrong... up until recently it also claimed the Walleye were catchable during Winter (they aren't). Can't say for sure, though, as I haven't caught a Super Cucumber the "old fashioned way".

I'm catching them in the ocean and it's summer. As it were, they're a royal pain to catch.

I caught them in Summer i believe even Fall but not so sure about the fall one
But its definitly summer if you want Super Cucumber in the Ocean

Guess I might just have to wait until year 2 for this one then :S Was hoping to get most of these fish taken care of the first go around, but at least I'll have a few seasons to try.

I caught one in the summer as well. The wiki claims summer, fall, and winter, but only from 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM.

Yeah, I know it does, but I'm under the strict belief that they do NOT exist in Winter. 25 days (give or take thanks to events/mining) have been spent with me trying to catch it during that time frame and I haven't seen a single one.

I caught 3 Super Cucumbers (gold starred) in like summer first year :P

So it sounds like no one else has caught one during the Winter. I'll go ahead and update the wiki and wait until Summer rolls around before trying for it again. Thanks guys :)
