Farm ponds?

Is there any point to the ponds on my farm other than for getting water for crops? I've tried fishing in them and I've put crab pots in them but all I seem to get back is junk.

nope. its useless. theres no unique fishes in there and most of the time you only get junk. Dont fish in your farm at all

The lower one is good for free Joja Cola, which is Sam's favorite gift.

I get lots of crayfish and snails from the lower pond in crabpots - useful for making shashimi as they count as fish. The junk is useful as well as it can be recycled. All of the refined quartz that I use/sell comes from recycled glasses and cd's. I save the quartz from the mines to give out as gifts.
