Has anyone actually achieved Fector's Challenge since it was patched?
Just curious if there's any of you out there! I obtained it pre-patch just by beating the game which was pretty hard to do even on a lucky day. Doing it without dying once sounds crazy.

I was just wondering this myself. I have a hard time seeing how anyone could do it. It is hard enough to beat the game as it is. Even if you make it to the final boss without dying it's hard to see how you would beat him without dying at least once.

Yeah, this one seems annoying.
Will never achieve 100% because of it.

I don't understand why one would add an achievement like this, i didn't bought Stardew valley to succeed in a shoot'em up...

Is there anyway for this to be removed please?

Last week my friend nearly got it just being rekt at the last boss while he only left with 10% hp, very annoying and watching her play nearly got a heartattack. :steamfacepalm:

And she still trying to get this achievement... oh my :steamfacepalm:

This achievement is made even more annoying by the fact that Prairie King seems to be the one remaining common cause of crashes...
Linio Apr 4, 2016 @ 5:29am
Plus there's that whole control issue.

Control issue was patched in 1.07 at least and he's working out the crash issues. But yeah still a nightmare.

Nah, I prefer achievements like this. Y'know, ones that are ACTUALLY an achievement, and not something you're going to end up doing anyway on a normal or casual playthrough. Go above and beyond, do the extra bits, and work for that true 100%, yo!

That said, I wasn't aware that it was buggy.

It's a shame the achievement was glitched so that anyone earned it back then if they completed the praire king at all. That muddies the value of the achievement in some ways. I suppose SAM would muddy it even more though. Just gotta wait for it too be your last achievement then SAM it, your profile would still look legit after you do that.

There are technically only 5 achievements that you can get through normal/casual gameplay, the other achievements are completely choice dependant.

I assume that the money achievements are the only guaranteed ones you'll get given that no matter what you do, if you want to progress you have to make at least some money.

The other achievements are only if you choose to "Farm, Fish, and Mine"

It looks like Foraging is the ONLY thing you can do that technically won't provide an achievement except for the level "10 skill" achievement.

But of course DOING anything would result in achievement, which means that those other achievements are achievements FOR doing something that was a complete choice.

Even the money ones aren't technically guaranteed, but if you do "anything" you should be "selling" items, therefore eventually you would reach those achievements as long as you are selling items.

I don't mind hard achievements, but again, why put an achievements on a shoot em up game when this is Stardew Valley, a craftey game?

I would say that even the money ones are not entirely required to make progress to a point. You could easily get to year three without 1,000,000G, and certainly not making it to 10,000,000G is likely.

I would suggest replacing the achievement with beating Jumino Kart. There's kind of no point to even playing that second arcade machine as far as achievements are concerned.
Linio Apr 5, 2016 @ 1:25am
That would actually be good!

Would the devs consider this?

I get this mentality, and I don't necessarily disagree with it, but there's a difference in making a difficult achievement though and making one that really just isn't worth the blood on your fingers. And I agree with the sentiment of this being oddly intense and STRESSFUL for such a peaceful game.

I don't believe a single person got this achievement legitimately and you'll never be able to convince me otherwise. To those .2 % er's that got it glitched, I'm salty at you :P

It does kinda put a damper on my achievement hunting, I guess I can aim for 39/40
CrazyKoala Apr 5, 2016 @ 4:07am
I just got this damn achivement at last after trying about two weeks!!!! (got it 2 mins ago before this post)

...ehh, It's nothing but just keep trying until you got this damn achievement. It's depends on pure luck to be honest. :steamsad:
