Tool Efficiency
Is there any solid info about this? I can't spot any difference and I'm nearly maxed out in everything.

I beleive you just use less energy when using the tools... except fishing fishing skill makes it easier to catch fish...

I noticed a huge difference in how much less my energy bar goes down when chopping wood or breaking stones all day. Not from one level to the next but certainly after 3-4 levels it was pretty apparent.

I'm wondering, if the buff-foods actually bring anything when you're already 10 in a skill.
I know for fishing it does, since it still increases the size of the catching-area. But pickaxe, axe, etc. already using only 1 energy per tile then.

As someone who cuts trees a lot, it is definitely notiable from lv 1 to 5 since that how far i am right now, and then when I got the upgrade to copper that helps a bit.

I believe (which means I suspect but don't know) that the skills for farming and foraging also increase the chance for silver/gold star pickups related to that profession.
Farming may also increase the chance for animals to produce on that day.

I think faster cutting (less chops to down a tree, and certainly less hits to break a rock) are tied to tool upgrades. The skill levels which give +1 efficiency seem to affect energy use.
