I disagree with majority, Sebastian isn't cool

Sebastian seems to be the fan favorite of the Bachelors by screenshots of marriage and fanart. Most paint him up as some tragic guy who is unloved by everyone, even his own family. Honestly, I get a different vibe from him.

In the 1st heart event, both Sam and Abigail take interest in hanging out with him, which he shows annoyance at. He then makes a comment about how selfish people are right after mentioning Sam always wanting to be around someone. I'm sorry your mom came down to talk to you, I'm sorry Sam likes to hang out with you and has you as part of his band, I'm sorry Abigail (who is like you) wants to spend time with you, and I'm sorry I worked to get you to 2 heart affection for you to moan nobody likes or understands you when the people who do care about you get blown off and called selfish. :I

You should probably see the rest of his events before going on about that, but he really does have a point. Introverted people get treated like ♥♥♥♥... even if they like their friends, they don't always want to go outside/hang out with them. They can't help that, and it doesn't make them bad people. But there is a lot of stigma about that.

Also, he has a reason to feel some ill-feelings towards his mom. It's not simple just "oh god mom came to talk to me"

Then why does he cry nobody understands or likes him? Why does the community take pity on the poor loner who shows signs of annoyace and anger towards the people who do care about him? Sebastian is more of a jerk than Alex, and Alex has a sadder history. And Sam is going through some tough things, and here his buddy seems to consider him selfish and not want to hang out and support him.

I just like that he's introverted, likes computers/is a geek, likes games, and is fine with spending a lot of time by himself doing solo-pursuits. Because my farmer isn't going to have much time to coddle a needy, clingy type.

I probably like Shane because of introverted-ness, as well. Heh.

That's how introverts are, and he go to the saloon on some nights and hang out with his friends. He also wants to focus on his programming / future career, which is pretty mature of him.

I like the look, I have liked characters of such. But Sebastian's comment there made me feel he didn't appreciate or respect Sam or Abigail. I haven't went after Abigail much (chasing Sam, Alex, Sebastian, and Leah eat up enough time), but Sam is a very genuine guy going through a household hardship. Sebastian's comment felt like a knife.

Introverts are fine, im one myself and im perfectly ok with that, i think the fact that he is a typical "emo" is the problem here, as they usually come with some personal or even mental issues most of the time.

He already had a bong in the game, dresses all dark and has all the sympthons of a serial killer waiting to happen.

Alot of rich people were introverts, as they tend to be driven by their own personal pursuits and has a strong drive in doing so, everyday, until their goals are completed.

The guy who made this game seems to match Seb the most tbh, as he stayed inside his house for 4 years and worked on this for 24/7, and now he is a millionarie so...there u go.

"Emo" is my problem, all emo people i have met and know, had issues, one way or the other, some very serious too.

Every single NPC (at 6+ hearts) has at least one or two somethings they're scripted to say that would irritate me in real life. None of them are perfect, just like in real life. And we all have our reactive triggers that tend to put our hackles up even more than usual, when we encounter them.

Being someone who was adopted and then, as a teen and still as an adult, became very estranged from parents/family (parents had two "natural" children before adopting me) because they all think I'm ... well, never mind. But from this I can sorta understand Seb's sense of rejection (his step father doesn't act like he cares about Seb much/obviously favors Maru much much more) and thus Seb's projection of that onto his mother (maybe she doesn't stand up for him to the step father, or whatever).

Anyway ... if you don't like Seb, start ignoring Seb. Some people really like Abigail, or Harvey, while I can't see the charm at all. But so what? Everyone isn't for everyone. 8)

I happen to like Sebastian . I do not consider him an emo guy, but just someone that doesn't want to be in the crowd. When you get the cutscene in his room.. He is working. His mother interrupts his work to say Abgail is coming over and he ask did you tell her I am working..she says yes and that the girl is still coming. It is the lack of understanding that he is annoyed about and how his "friends" don't take his work serious. He even comments on the nurse chick and how no one interrupts her work.. He is not one to hang with the crowd and admits he could making money but hates face to face.. His friends are selfish to think his job is not important when it comes to them.. He spends time with them you see it when your pixel is out and about..His friends and mother are inconsiderate and not cool... Not him.. Not everyone wants to be omg let's hang out every day. And some people feel satisfied just being at home with an occasional outting once a week... But seriously at least he is working...XD can't say his friends are...

Ok, sheesh, I didn't mean to be implying anything of that sort.
I was just trying to explain why *I* felt sympathy for Seb's fictional chr ... and I realize others may not feel the same way and that's just fine. Seb's chr. being cool or not cool isn't a contest.

Who knows if Sebastian is really working or being that successful. I know people who "work" online and very little to show for it. Sam has a job and watches his brother. Abigail is in school. They aren't lazier than Sebastian. People seem to make him out to be a victim, when really his stepfather is the only one "bad" to him. And I don't see Sam or Alex get sympathy even though they have bigger daddy issues going on. Which is a common theme among the love interests, abusive or misunderstanding parents. Alex's seems to be the worst case, and people only call him a jerk.
