Fruit trees not growing?
So I planted some trees in early summer and now I'm in fall and it seems like they haven't grown past stage 2. I'm pretty sure they only take 28 days to grow so they should be almost fully grown by now.
I have them set up like this: https://i.gyazo.com/427d4f110db533f1e0374904b2093e05.png which i'm pretty sure is enough space.
Any ideas?

I assume they grow slower if out of season.

That seems silly. I planted fall trees in summer so I could harvest them in fall. If they only grew properly in fall, then I wouldn't be able to harvest them until fall year 2.
If that is the case, sounds like a mod is in order.

Make sure there is nothing in the 8 squares around the tree. Nothing. No seeds. No gravel, cobblestone, etc. The only month they dont grow in is winter.

The hoe'd ground might be what's stopping them. Make sure literally nothing is there. Just 8 squares of plain old dirt.

They absolutely grow out of season, I planted my spring trees in Fall and they're well on their way to being fully grown (Now partway in winter and they're like ~20 days into growth).

That might be it.^^^^^

@Yatagan, I only hoed the ground right before taking the picture to emphasize the number of free tiles surrounding them. Normally it's just dirt?

Your game is broke. REFUND!

I dunno, when I planted my trees in winter I watered them everyday. I doubt that would be the cause, you probably watered them.

Could be a bug.

They do grow in winter. In year 2 i planted 18 trees on the first of winter and they were ready in the beginning of year 3. Just make sure NOTHING is around them, not even soil.

When I plant a fruit seed, how much space is needed in every direction? 4, 8?

Imagine a medium sprinkler on the tile where the fruit tree is. Every tile that gets watered by the sprinkler must be 100% free from everything and can not be turned into soil by a hoe. Just keep it natural.

So basically the 8 tiles around it.

You may have fixed my same issue. I built a gravel path as a walkway and the growth stopped shortly after. I wish I could reddit upvote you :D

So the 8 spaces around my tree are clear but I'm stuck on stage 2 aswell :/ It's a pomegrante one. I planted it in Spring and its now Summer 27.
I tilled it just to show that the spaces are empty but I'm out of ideas
Anybody help?
(The pine one I planted after.. Weird placing but it was my first tree lol )
