Tips for Rabbit's Foot

I have everything for the community center except for a sunflower and a rabbit's foot. I am about a day or two away from having my sunflowers finish growing so that isn't an issue, but I am in Year 2 Fall beginning with 5 rabbits in my deluxe coop who are all at around 1 heart. Am I going to be able to reliably get a rabbit's foot from these rabbits by the end of the year if I make it my sole focus?

I also know that there are rabbit's foot that drop with about a 0.8% chance from the flying serpents in the skeleton cave, is that the only way I can definitely get it, by just doing nothing but mines and killing those serpents until I hopefully get one? Thanks for the help any tips are welcome.

I ended up buying mine from the traveling cart that appears on fridays and sundays. I've seen a rabbit's foot listed there a number of times.

I bought one year one but sold it like a fool because I didn't realize it was this important! I have been checking consistently for around 2-3 seasons and haven't seen it in the store again yet.

Or you could just get rabbits and wait for them to drop it.

Same, though I do keep rabbits. I believe they only very rarely produce rabbit's feet, so you'll get one sooner or later. But if you see it on the pig ♥♥♥♥♥, go for it is my advice.

As I said, I have 5 rabbits. I am just wondering how long it will take to reliably get the rabbit's foot from them.

I would if it would show up! :) It just hasn't unfortunately.

I would think the 5 rabbits would certainly do it before the end of the year but it can not be dependable. The serpents drop them pretty well, but if you want to get a advantage finish the monster slaying Dust Sprites 500 and get a Burglar's Ring. It will help with monster drops.

Does luck benefit the chances of getting a drop? I could try to get a bunch of those spicy eel things which also just so happen to drop from the serpents haha

I am not to sure what luck does. I think it effects it and would explain why I get them fairly decently since I eat the eel they drop. The ring straight up says it helps with mob drops so that is why I said it would work.

Ah alright, excellent. I am probably not gonna be able to get the ring since I won't be focusing on killing those dust guys, but I will try to raise my luck with some food and keep going into the cave. Can't wait until I finish with the community center so I can go back to relaxing and enjoying this game with no stress!

If you don't mind me asking how many hearts are your rabbits at currently (or at least before you got your first rabbits foot)?

From hacking away at Serpents in skull cavern, I've collected some 4-5 rabbits foots (and I got the 1st after around 4-5 deep trips).

From rabbits in the coop, I've only collected one so far. Rabbit was at full 5 hearts for about 2 seasons.

I recommend fighting the Serpents with the burglar ring. If you stick around long enough, the 'wave' rounds on the cave will spawn a lot of them (like it does bees/bats in the cave).

Hey everyone I am now getting Rabbit's foot DAILY and I have all rabbits at 2 hearts or lower.. It seems to be just pure luck, and as long as you have rabbits with a couple hearts you have a good chance. I am now done with community center and can finally relax again. have fun :)
