There's a point where realism needs to stop to make room for comfortable mechanics that aren't unusably clunky though :p
The first 3-4 games I couldn't figure out what the hell was going on with the slingshot game and thought the controls were completely crap. Then I figured it out, got a high score, and found out that fishing still gives more fair points.
Also found out the slingshot game is bugged, and sometimes getting a higher score gives less points then some of the lower scores in some wierd instances.
Anyway, sling shot controls. You click on the map to 'grab' the sling, then pull back on the sling in the direction oppisite that you intend to shoot (it will shoot towards the point you originaly clicked). Think of it like pulling back on a bow string. Or something like that.
I think it's a Zelda:OoT reference.
Play the fishing game, if you wanna get rich on tokens. 180+ tokens minimum, if you're half-decent. Even if you get good at the slingshot game, don't expect more than 80 tokens on average.
When I used the slingshot to try to kill things... not only do you have to "pull back", but swing the mouse around to aim at something. And guess what... if you move the mouse too far out of range, it would cancel the charge. This is really not how real life works -- one doesn't twirl around before trying to hit something.
