Ancient Fruit info is wrong?
Im in the process of really organizing my greenhouse and Im trying to coordinate the harvest dates of two different crops of Ancient Fruit. I planted 16 new plants on Spring 5 and now its Summer 5 and my new crop is in. The old crops will harvest again on the 7th so Im just going to leave the fruit on the plant for two days so I can just harvest them all together from now on.

Because I was carefully charting my harvest dates I discovered that my Ancient Fruit is on a 7 day cycle, not 8.

It does indeed take 28 days to produce its first fruit but thereafter at least in the greenhouse my plants produce every 7 days and have been regularly for the past three and a half seasons.

Everything Ive read said its supposed to be 8 days, including the wiki. Can anyone else confirm my data?

Greenhouse speeds up growing. Also, the times of crops or estimated. Some that take 6, CAN take 5 or 7, just depends on conditions.

Inside the Greenhouse, its based purely on the bonus you get from growing stuff in there.

It speeds things up? I had no idea. Where did you find this?

Found out the same way buddy did. I just happened to put 2 and 2 together easier. Everything in there grows faster, including Fruit Trees. (Dunno if they produce outside of season in there or not, never got that far)

God help you if you do blueberries with the 10% grow faster perk and the 25% fast grow fert.... you are harvesting Blueberries every other bloody day.

Huh, ill have to look into this once i get a greenhouse on this game, plant same thing inside and outside same day, sprinklers and all that. Useful to know.

I keep pretty close track of all my crops and I have seen nothing to indicate that grow times are estimated. If watered everyday every crop has grown in the exact time it was supposed to, including in the greenhouse. I grow Ancient Fruit, Pumpkins and Starfruit in my greenhouse and the pumpkins and starfruit grow at their regular rate. Also it still takes 28 days for the first ancient fruit to appear so there is no speed up during the growing process.

Anyone else have any data on this matter?

Grow times are absolute, not estimated. To my knowledge there are three factors which can alter your grow cycle:

Farming perk, fertilizer, and time watered.

Both the perk and fertilzer will increase the growth rate, while watering the plant too late in the day will make it take an extra day.

I dont have the faster growth perk nor did I use any soil additive at all. And I have sprinklers.

Well, the bonuses don't stack. This was tested in another thread earlier this week. It was found that the 10% growth perk was equal to Super-Speed Gro... and if you used regular Speed-Gro, plants actually took a day longer!

Also, the bonus does NOT affect multi-harvest plants... so the full time is needed to grow cranberries, blueberries, etc.

I see a lot of people who say they grow nothing but ancient fruit in their greenhouses. Has no one else noticed that it grows back every 7 days?

It's not the greenhouse ... it's the 10% perk you get over the fertilizer you use.

Yes ... with the 10% skill.

I dont have the 10 percent skill. I am an Artisan. All my other crops grow on the exact schedule they are supposed to. And I dont use fertilizer since there is no point, all my fruit gets turned into wine.

I don't pay attention, honestly. Also, I initially planted mostly cranberries in there (along with 2 or 3 ancient fruit). I've been pulling out the cranberries and replacing with ancient fruit as the ancient fruit I have gets to harvest and I put it through the seed mill. So most of my ancient fruit (now 2/3 of the greenhouse) harvests at totally different times.

I took Agriculturalist and the ancient fruit takes a lot shorter than 28 days to get to full harvest in my greenhouse. I haven't bothered to really take notes on it though.

Apparently Agriculturalist is bugged. See this post. The bonus is supposed to stack with speed-gro and deluxe - speed-gro, but currently either they don't stack or you don't see the effect (I'm not sure which is more technically correct).

I've never heard of a growth bonus for just being in the greenhouse though.
