Can't chop stumps outside my farm?

Am I missing something? tried with a copper axe too, no chopping sounds either. I can cut down whole trees to nothing, but no the ones that are already stumps.....

you need to upgrade your axe, they have 5 level for tool, normal, copper, steel axe, gold axe, iridium axe, if i remeber well, for the big stumps, you need the steel axe.

Those small stumps outside of your farm are immune to any kind of chopping. Just big ones in hidden forest can be break down.

copper axe can chop the big stumps, and steel axe chops the big hollow logs.
