Heaters, do I need those?
So yeah, im entering Winter soon, and I dont know if I need Heaters for my Animals to survive. Or can they survive without it, and it just makes them happier, is that all there is to it?

They'll probably survive just fine, but the hearts you worked for....dunno. I bought 2 (I had one coop and 1 barn) then got a 3rd from somewhere.

I think one of the bundles awards you one. I also had all I needed by the time I got it.

I actually went through a whole winter without heaters and had 6 chickens, two ducks, 2 cows, and one goat. They did just fine. (still produced eggs and milk) I didn't notice any hearts disappear either (not to say they don't) but i wouldn't say the heaters are a necessity if you can't afford them.

Okay, thats the answer I hoped for :D
Im gathering money and I will have enough by the end of winter to plant exactly as many trees as planned, but heaters would destroy my plan^^

That's interesting. I wonder if they just make increasing hearts easier that it otherwise would be since the animals don't go outside to feed on the grass.

The animals cant die in this game, its not that kind of a game. No food or heat basicly just means no production on their part. Personally, i sold all my animals before winter the first time because of money, no point in having them around if money is short. Later tho, u will have more money than u cna spend.

yeah and I always made sure I left the doors closed to the barn and coop (not sure if that made any difference) but I always made sure to pet them EVERY single day and made sure I didn't forget to give them hay at all. And they all were fine :)

A little late, but in case you were still wondering, according to the dev release notes: "Purchase a heater to counteract the unhappiness of being inside all winter"
