Legendary fish

Honestly, this is simply too hard... I have level 9 fishing, using bait and lures, it's simply completely rediculous... the winter fish moves so fast my bar doesn't even have the speed to keep up with it... I love this game and how relaxed it feels but the fishing is something that is leading to constant frustration. Some fish seem easy then the difficulty curve becomes so steep I don't even bother. Many players are saying the same thing. Please fix it, I want to download a mod already.

The legendary fish are supposed to be hard you can only get them once per game.
It took me 4 tries to get the legendary sewer fish
and over 30 to get the winter one. But at level 8 fishing that was the most fun I had with the fishing skill it actually gave a challenge instead of the other fish that are simply to easy to catch.
It takes awhile but eventually you start to see their movements and with a tiny bit of luck and skill you will be able to catch it.

Fishing system in this game is annoying I agree and if you do catch one you cant mount it on the wall or anything you can just sell it for money i guess. what do you even do with them?

Bro, don't give up on the winter fish, it's the hardest fish in the game. You wanna maximize your chance to get it? Use a cork bobber (increases bar size) or a trap bobber (decreases fish loss speed). Eat a dish o' the sea anytime you're trying to catch it for the +3 bonus. Use wild bait. You just need to keep at it. It took me more than 20 tries. Most of the time I lost him in 3 or 4 seconds and several times I managed to stretch it out longer. The one time I finally got him, it felt amazing.

And I do say it's the hardest fish in the game because I caught the legend on my first try. So you know...don't give up.

Also, question to others here, is it true that you can only catch the legendary fish once? I remember seeing a post with screenshots of multiple legendary fish in someone's inventory...

One for each season and one in the sewer for some reason.

this was in last patch, haven't tried in this one, but i did catch more than 1 Legend fish.

I'm lvl 9 fishing too, using the iridium rod with the trap bobber I just caught the winter legendary fish. Yes it's hard, but it's doable, a bit of luck, and a bit of skill and you'll get him, don't give up !

and please don't nerf fishing ! This mini game is awesome.

I'm actually surprised at how people are saying its hard. At lvl 10 fishing, iridium rod and cork bobbers (using mouse), it only took me 2-3 tries (ea.) to catch them.

You can improve your ability to catch Legendary fish with:
1. level 10 fishing
2. fishing on a Lucky day, (which makes fish "calmer")
3. Use either a +3 fishing buff, or +3 luck buff
4. Cork or Trap bobber, depending on your proclivities.
5. PRACTICE!!!! :-)
