Largemouth Bass - Elusive!

So I checked the wiki and threads here and everything says... go to lake NE of Robin's house by the mine. Ok no problem! I started in Summer and am in Fall now and can't get a single largemouth bass! I've tried different spots around the lake. I've fished morning, evneing, night, rain, sun...

Am I missing something? I have tons of chub, carp, walleye, and bullheads...

Ive got the impressive bad luck too, I catch a lot of small mouth bass a rare rainbow fish one time I caught a sun fish always catching ghost fish, I can get 20-30 fish a day after farming chores lots of small mouth bass, usually the regular fish, its pretty rare for me to get the fish required for the bundle

I'm at lvl 7 so maybe its luck or whatever level you are currently at, I had one day where I was quite lucky always catching treasure chests but I was pretty bad at catching fish at that point not used to the click system so I probably missed my chance

I've spent three months fishing at every time of day and every weather condition in the Mountain Lake. I am a level 9 Fisher with an Iridium Rod and the best tackle and bait available. I've yet to catch a frickin' Largemouth Bass. I'm pretty sure it must be a bug at this point. Bad luck can't be THIS impressive!

What I do is go arond the Adventuer's guild, and down toward the bridge to the quarry, and fish there.

I try to stand right between the little fence and the lake near Robin's house, and cast midway between land and island. Almost half my catches seem to be silver largemouth bass. Not finding any at all seems like really incredible bad luck to me. :o

I had the same thing ahppen Promise. I was looking for the Largemouth Bass, and the Dinosaur Egg managed to drop in the Mountain Lake before I even seen a bass! The only reason I even bothered with fishing! The day after, the caravan ♥♥♥♥♥ woman was selling a Largemouth Bass. The RNGods smiled down upon me.

On a side note, it said the Dinosaur Egg can only come from fishing chests out of the River or Ocean, you CAN also find them in the Mountain Lake.

This is what just happened to me.. xd. Thankfully I managed to get it in one day.. Several actually. Considering I did not touch the skill at all till then, plus used the starting bamboo fishing rod, I think it went well XD.

Think its just all about luck.. Well that and doing well in the minigame along with it. I did have the trout soup to increase fishing by 1. Caught several normal ones and 3 silver star tier ones before the 6pm mark.

Not ashamed to admit though it was my 2end try. ( Exit game and reload ) The first attempt though was at the wrong location. My first attempt was the lake near Marnie's place.. Only caught smallmouthed bass and junk items. My 2end attempt was at the lake south of the mines. ( Right of Robin's store )

Level 10, Iridium rod, I have never caught a Large Mouth Bass. I've been up the west coast and down the east coast. Once I found one in a garbage can but used it on a previous quest. Got Jodi's quest, ran to the lake, ignored everything else tried 2 redoes of the day catching over 40 fish per day, still no large mouth bass. Started at the bridge in front of the mine and worked south east past the bridge to the quarry. Maybe I'll try one more time from the island tip as mentioned above.

Weird. Largemouth was one of the very first fish I caught, back when I had just started playing the game. Basic rod, no bait or tackle, and it's been pretty common ever since - a whole day's fishing should net you about half a dozen - and more if you fish in a ripple spot. You must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what.
