wizard tower...?

i've tried so many times to get inside the wizard tower, but it always says: it's locked... but you can here someone inside. do you guys know what time to try, or what season?

Day 5 or 6 he'll send you a letter if you've discovered the note in the town hall.

Do you not visit town, like ever? the event to unlock the tower literally just requires that you go to town during the day as far as I know. Lewis opens a building, and then you read a scroll, and the wizard contacts you.

Have you opened the community center? Not completed, but have access. If so, read the glowing square in the southwestern room. then the next morning you can see the wizard.

Once you go into the community center and investigate, you find a thing in the southwest room to read, you cant, its gibberish, but the wizard contacts you to translate it. Then you are free to enter his tower.
