Ancient Seed..

So I'm on Year 3, 16th of Summer and I have YET to find a single ancient seed(The artifact), I'm awfully sick of trying to hunt for it because of the ridiculously low rate to get it along with the ridiculously low rate of any of the artifacts.

I've caught all the fish, donated all the minerals, got the strongest weapon in the game, making tons of money on the farm and yet these artifacts are so rare that it's not even enjoyable to try and get them, it's just annoying and a grind but I need them if I want to 100% the game.

I've got maxed fishing, using the magnet bait, treasure bobber and yet I cannot for the love of god get these artifacts, digging is even worse because you have to hope there are any wigglies to dig up every day and EVEN if there are any you only have a 1% chance of getting an artifacts, let alone getting one you haven't gotten yet.

So.. anyone that knows some cool glitches or w/e to cheat myself some artifacts? Seriously, at this point I'm considering save editing them in for the achievements even though I'm usually absolutely against cheating in any way.

The only other way I know off is by trying to buy it from the traveling cart. I have seen her sell them sometimes. also rare though. Atleast you have luck with the best sword which I have been trying to get the prismatic shard from for 4 days.

Just put fruits in a lot of seed maker machine and you have .5% chance of getting an ancient seed. So with 200 fruits you are supposed to get at least 1 ancient seed. The moment you have a seed you can easily get more seed by using the ancient fruit on the seed machine.

I was super lucky with the shard, I had two of them in one day, one from an omni geode and one from the skull mines, not sure what dropped it.

I've gotten all artifacts except the sword.. The seed can be fished in the river south of town, I got a second one here looking for the ancient sword..

But I do agree its slow going on getting them, I am also on year 3 (half way through fall now)..

For some artifacts dig the sand in the mines, some from worms around (easiest in winter cause is more worms usually) and then of course.. fishing which some are beach, lake or river.. I've had the best luck in the river south of town fishing.. I've gotten very few new ones from fishing though..

I finally just managed to get one ancient seed(Of 2 that I need, 1 for crafting) after spending over 25 iron and 10 gold on treasure bobbers and magnet bait. Now for another 10 or so artifacts with the same rate and another ancient seed.

Which you missing? Might just be a location issue..

Also for fishing, I've onlyed used the tresure bobber and reguler bait + the pirate perk (double tresure chance)..

Does the magnet seem to actually give more chests? Cause the magnet bait seemed a bit pricey to me.. But maybe it's better then I think?..

Also Luck might play a role in what the chests drop.. I need to test it with some lucky lunches though.. But I wonder if bad luck days are why you get days with all bait only chests.. vs days you get at lest a bunch of gems and geodes..

Since I'm aiming for the achievements I'm just looking up on the wiki where to get them now, and yeah magnet + bobber really helps, I'm getting a pretty good amount of chests when I use them though as I mentioned most of the chests contain garbage like basic geodes or bait so I spend multiple days fishing all day for 1 artifact that I don't have yet.

I don't know if you can get ancient seeds from omni geodes (it's not listed on the wiki, but maybe that list isn't exhaustive?), but if this is all you're missing and you have a lot of money, you can buy a bunch at the Oasis store on Wednesday and see if you get lucky... (open them up on a lucky day after eating some +luck food, while you're at it)

All of the ones your missing except the Elvish Jewelry(I got 2 in the river south of the farm) and ancient sword, I got from worms or digging in the mines... And Rare disk is from a mob drop.. The shadow guys in the lava area I think it is..

Maybe try digging in the mines a few days and see how that gose for you? I am 90% sure I've gotten at lest the gear looking ones and the statues from the mines.. The bones and arrow head all came from the worms for me though..

I'll have to try the magnet for the ancient sword for a bit and see if it helps.. Also switched my skill to tracker to see if the "Revels forage location" works on worms.. cause it might help idk..

i found an ancient seed around floor 1-20 on a good fortune day spaming bombs

Make as many seed machines as you can. Wake up in the morning with 100 hops or some other cheap crop. put them all through the seed machines. If you don't get an ancient seed restart the day.
