Dancing in the first year of the Flower Dance???

Anybody managed to dance with someone in the first year? I'm not even sure if it's possible to get 5 hearts by then...

You "only" need 4 hearts.

And without some ridiculously good luck on the public request board, I think that it's only mathematically possible to dance with Haley in the first year (because of her early birthday).

Yup, got to dance with Haley the first year. She was only at 3 hearts i think.

Unless it was changed 3 hearts would not be enough as I had penny there during the first event.

They do need to adjust the hearts required for that event as there is no way to really get it that high early on for everyone else.

Maybe if you give the best possible gifts to one girl from day 1 you can get 4 hearts?

You cannot.

If you give a character two Loved gifts per week, every week, until the Flower Festival (that's eight Loved gifts) and talk to them every single day, you'll have roughly 3.12 hearts.

If you also do a Board Request for them, you'll have about 3.72 hearts.

It's mathematically impossible to get four hearts with any Single character before the Flower Festival except Haley, because of Haley's early birthday.

The problem with this is some characters have requests you cannot fulfill early on like this also.

I need to amend my earlier post, now that I've double-checked my math. It is mathematically possible to dance with any of the Single characters in the first year, but Haley is by far the easiest because of her birthday.

• You need 1,000 Relationship Points (4 Hearts) to get a partner at the Flower Festival.
  
• Each day you talk to someone gives +20 Relationship Points.
  
• Each Liked gift gives +45 Relationship Points.
  
• Each Loved gift gives +80 Relationship Points.
  
• Gifts on Birthdays give 8× the usual point total (360 or 640 Relationship Points).
  
  
• Talking to someone every day (23 days before the festival) gives 460 Relationship Points.
  
• You have to make up the remaining 540 Relationship Points with gifts, of which you can make a maximum of eight.
  
  • Seven Loved Gifts will give you 560 Relationship Points.
    
  • Six Loved Gifts and two Liked Gifts will give you 570 Relationship Points.
    
  • Five Loved Gifts and three Liked Gifts will give you 535 Relationship Points, so you're out of luck.

Verdict: It's mathematically possible to get any of the Single characters to dance with you... but you're going to have to be committed and relentless.

i just reach the day where the flower festival begin and left very disappointed because haley reject my dance offer even though i got 3 hearts already with her.... :(

that is so harsh.. 4 hearts just to dance with the one i liked in my first year seem impossible considering i am focusing almost all of my daily routine to search for money :(

now i can't dance with anyone -_-

I can confirm that 4 hearts works. And yes, it IS possible to get some of the relationships up that high before the dance. Admittedly, Haley is the easiest, due to having a birthday before the dance, but I was able to dance with Leah at 4 hearts at the first dance realatively easilly. (Salads, man, salads!)

Yeah I made the math. I thought it would be possible if you could get a coconut or a cake in the ♥♥♥♥♥ wagon for Haley's birthday, but seeing that it's for 4 hearts only, I think it's pretty doable even if you don't give "best" presents everyday or even for her aniversary.

There is no special reward for that one as other then for haley it's impossible for normal gameplay for a lot of the characters.

No, no reward that I noticed, just you taking the place of the opposite single that the person would dance with normally.
