Best place to put animal buildings and crops in the farm?
hello guys, i am having trouble when i get the choice to build my animal buildings because it let me choose which location i want to build so i am wondering where is the best place in my farm to build them? is it beside the greenhouse?

also so far i plant all my crops just in front of my house, is there a better place? i want to make my farm looks neat. Thanks!

personally, I built a road from the entrance of my house to the left and along that road I built the coop, barn and 2 silos. However, while I upgraded them and everything, they are only temporary since we can demolish them again so I can beautify my farm :D

tl;dr build them where it's convenient NOW and move them later if you want.

It's all subjective. But here is the interactive farm planner another player built and shared with us. I've been using it all morning to design my new farm. :)

To get ideas, just check out screenshots that others have posted in various forums.

Last I heard it was NOT possible to move buildings, you have to tear them down and have them built again. You CAN move machines, etc (bees, charcoal maker, oil ....).

I kept my crops near the pond at first, making it easier to refill the watering can. Once you get sprinklers though you can put crops anywhere.

Place silos anywhere you want. You almost never interact with them. But keep them out of the way.

Animals require feeding (either hay or letting them out each morning and closing the door each night) and you need to pet each one every day, collect eggs, milk cows, etc. So think about how you want to move around your farm every morning as you do all those chores. My coop and barn were spread out and it was not as efficient as it could be. It wasn't bad though. Putting them near the greenhouse is a good location because you'll probably visit that regularly once you unlock it, and you'll probably visit the cave too fairly regularly. But any place you don't mind regularly routing too will work.

Also consider where you might place the fruit trees. You'll have to pick them every day or so.

do you get the resources back when demolishing them? or i have to buy another one?

thank you! i think i get some ideas :)
btw what is the cave for? i thought it was for mining at first but it seems i can't do anything with it.. i guess there will be something when the season changes?

You do not get resources back from demolishing buildings. At least I didn't appear to when I demolished and rebuilt both a silo and my first coop.

The cave is developed later. You'll have a choice of uses. I think that happens in summer or is dependent on how much total income your farm has made.

Lastly, you can use a coop/barn for machines (keg, barrels, loom, cheese press, etc.) if you want.
