Slime Breeding.
So, how does this work? What are the combinations of colors? can I influence gender somehow? Basically is there a guide anywhere?

Ive not found one so far. The wiki page on breeding is about the ones in the wild, and gives no details about color mixing or anything.

So it has nothing to do with the actual color mixing? as red+green would be yellow I beleive.
So green and red makes. Dark? Or are they like a deep purple, or what?

Red + green = brown in the real world.

I have had green & blue slimes in a castle for a while, but did not notice any other color combos.

I believe slime hatching sex is random -- I got 6 female before I hatched a male.

After that, you just make sure to leave at least one of each sex alive, and they will breed like crazy.

Im looking at color blending, and red and green make yellow. That said "brown" is pretty much darkened yellow more or less, so presumably its just a different ratio of red and green.

Rocket science or not, it clearly follows some kind of rules, Im wanting to figure them out, and asking if anyone has any information to share.

It depends on if you are mixing light or tangible things. If you mix paint, (and I encourage you to try this), red + green will get you an icky form of brown.

On a standard color wheel, Red, Blue and Yellow are Primary Colors -- you cannot mix anything to get those. Those are the base colors from which you work. If you mix Yellow + Blue, you get Green, which is a Complement to Red, (directly opposite on the color wheel). Any complements that are mixed will get you brown. (Blue + orange, red/green, and purple/yellow).

Trust me, I deal in color all day long. I'm an artist.

So do slimes follow light laws or paint laws for color?

Most of my information about color is from science classes and my job in an optics lab using different filters to adjust color, so i know basically nothing about the art side I guess.

So far Red Green and Blue appear to be the base colors. With Purple out in the skull mines, and mentions of a "transparent slime" on the wiki page. Im working on getting 1-2 of each so far.
