yea, well...if it is nicely done then its ok. but in this game the animation of the snow is choppy/laggy that hurts the eye because its poorly done. and when it covers the entire screen with the same repeateable pattern, it takes away attention of the game. either put nicer snow effect or minimise it to be just a hint of snow.
And yeah...that's been the one and only effect in the game that bothers me.
Yes, you can make it completely transparent. I just had snow here and tested it.
(GoG)
P.S. The GoG forum for this game is almost non-active...
If you were the dev and he wanted an actual email receipt copy, I might consider it, but I'm not posting that sort of shot in public.
Feel free to browse my 181 page Steam-posting history if you desire to see if I've ever mentioned pirating a game or pro-pirate stances, before. Good grief...
Dude, stop harassing this person. You're not the internet police.
Just a note - the steam version of the game is also drm free. It does not use the steam drm and plays just fine without steam running.
I agree with stop harrassing CatPerson though. These are public forums, people aren't obliged to buy their games through steam to post here, nor should anyone be harrassed for wanting to keep their profile private.
I also considered buying Stardew Valley on GOG first too, sadly you generally get the updates slower there from my experience. Latest one I bought on GOG was Underrail and the updates lagged behind badly.
The latest patch (1.05) has it to where you can turn down the snow effects. I'm beyond happy with this patch, since when I'd go to the beach, the snow would make my eyes hurt pretty badly.
