Pls remove snow effect
Pls make an option to turn of snowing effect. The laggy snow makes my eyes hurt...or make a better snowing animation that is more smooth and doesnt cover the entire screen.

i like the full screen effects. really sets the mood and I believe that sometimes the snow is stronger that other times.

yea, well...if it is nicely done then its ok. but in this game the animation of the snow is choppy/laggy that hurts the eye because its poorly done. and when it covers the entire screen with the same repeateable pattern, it takes away attention of the game. either put nicer snow effect or minimise it to be just a hint of snow.

there is an option in the game to tune down snow effects (same with lightning etc.) since 1.0.5

I was wondering if the snow transparency was for the falling white dots snow. Hasn't snowed in my game yet since then so haven't been able to test.

And yeah...that's been the one and only effect in the game that bothers me.

Yes, you can make it completely transparent. I just had snow here and tested it.

CatPerson you don't have the game according to steam. buy the legit version and stop pirating then you also always get newest updates and support a poor indie developer :)
The game isn't sold only on Steam, you know.

(GoG)

P.S. The GoG forum for this game is almost non-active...

A shot of what? My Library? What's the point, since you could say I photoshopped it? Not to mention, I see no reason to "prove" it to you in the first place. The game is on Humble as well, I think. Just because one buys the game elsewhere doesn't mean one can't use the Steam forum, if one also has a Steam account.

If you were the dev and he wanted an actual email receipt copy, I might consider it, but I'm not posting that sort of shot in public.

Feel free to browse my 181 page Steam-posting history if you desire to see if I've ever mentioned pirating a game or pro-pirate stances, before. Good grief...

People don't have to buy the game on steam, lot's of people buy from GOG as it's DRM free. Stop harrassing him, I'm sure he has bought the game.

Dude, stop harassing this person. You're not the internet police.

Is there osmething wrong with a private profile?
Although it doesn't affect me much, I totally understand your concern. Try to ask mod community to see if they can remove this.

Just a note - the steam version of the game is also drm free. It does not use the steam drm and plays just fine without steam running.

I agree with stop harrassing CatPerson though. These are public forums, people aren't obliged to buy their games through steam to post here, nor should anyone be harrassed for wanting to keep their profile private.

Personally I see no point in keeping your profile public, unless you're heavy into trading. Only makes you a more lucrative target for hackers/phishers/scammers if you have a lot of games or otherwise a valuable account.
I also considered buying Stardew Valley on GOG first too, sadly you generally get the updates slower there from my experience. Latest one I bought on GOG was Underrail and the updates lagged behind badly.

The latest patch (1.05) has it to where you can turn down the snow effects. I'm beyond happy with this patch, since when I'd go to the beach, the snow would make my eyes hurt pretty badly.
