a train is passing through stardew valley?

i got a message saying that a train is passing through stardew valley so i went to the traintracks and watched it pass by... is there any reason for the message of a train passing through? did i miss something?

Yes, a few random resources can drop off the train as it passes, like wood and coal.

Stuff can fall off the train. You could get wood; you could get iridium. It's random.

it can also drop geodes... nothign really all that amazing... teh train looks good though...

Have someone tried to stop, or maybe bomb the train and see what's gonna happened? Maybe I'm gonna try this after I craft some bombs.

I punched the train a few times with my obsidian sword... I died.

I got caught on the tracks because I dismounted next to the moving train; had to sit there for 30 seconds until I died...
