Best thing to spend iridium bars on?
I'm debating what to spend my first 5 iridium bars on

The iridium ring looks nice, any other suggestions?

Right now I'm keeping them and will probably go for the ring. I bought 100 omni geodes from the desert merchant and am waiting for a lucky day to break them open. Supposedly that can be a good way to get more iridium ore.

I don't have the essences for the ring and the sewer merchant only sells 10 at a time. I'll be able to craft the ring in 3 or 4 days assuming I remember to visit the merchant.

I was originally thinking of either the sprinklers or upgrading the watering can, but I think now I'll just buy iridium sprinklers from the ♥♥♥♥♥ and/or sewer merchant and revisit upgrading tools depending on what happens with the geodes.

Meanwhile I need to farm more iron to craft more bombs for the skull cave.

you can buy bombs from the dwarf in the normal mine... well once you can talk to him that is...

You can get the essences easily at level 100~ in the mines, same for the skeleton mine

Also if you watch TV and wait for it to say 'you'll have extra luck today' go to the skeleton mine, and eat a spicy Eel and that will give you bonus luck, as you move through the mine you'll see special ores which give iridium and sometimes you'll even get 3 iridium ores from one rock. I got 10 iridium ores in one run from that

I also got 32 omni geodes in that run, I've never bought a geode before o_o

But the ring is looking like it. Why did you upgrade to an irdium hoe? I'm still using a copper one with no problem

Ring, for sure. For me, next were tools: Pickaxe, Plow, then Axe. (Then watering can if you need it -- I usually don't by that point in the game -- have PLENTY of level 2 sprinklers). Sprinklers are kind of a waste, since you can easily buy them from Krobus or the caravan, so I keep those until last, and just buy them when I see them. :stardrop:

Oh no! Iridium hoe is IMO the best iridium tool -- it plows a 6x3 area at full charge.... you can plow your entire fields in one day.... (I have over 600 field plots).

What does upgrading the watering can beyond bronze do? Just more radius? (I haven't upgraded it at all yet, still in my first summer... keep restarting lol)

no idea how you make it through teh first day of spring... I have like 25 irridium sprinklers set up and it takes me from morning til 1:30am to clear the sticks and stones ahoe it all and then seed it if there werent sprinklers liek harvest moon games I would ahve gone with teh watering can but I never relaly use that anymore thegold ax and pick ahve been fine so for speeding up my one time yearly hoeing I went witht eh hoe first... then I got lucky in the mine and ran into 6 irridium nodes in one bunch and got my ring...

Why would you keep restarting?

I do it with most games like this... I just experiment with the first 1-3 plays and then I start in earnest once I know how everything works. The wiki was really empty when I started playing so I had to do a lot of trial and error. :P

The charge levels for the can and the hoe: 3x1, 5x1, 3x3, 6x3. That's copper, iron, gold, iridium.
