Do fertilizers work for tree seeds? And pine, maple, and oak trees?
Don't think they would but can't hurt to ask.

No since you can only place fertilizer on tilled land and you can't plant those trees on tilled land.
That's what I thought thank you!
I didn't try with the fruit trees and I thought I put those down on tilled soil. But the common tree seeds only go on untilled soil.
They don't work on regular trees, but I've heard that you can plant fruit trees on tilled land... but that the tilled land disappears when you do. So theoretically, you can use fertilizer on fruit trees, but I don't know if it has any effect.

I haven't tested any of this myself and just going by hearsay.
Speaking about fertilizer, does anyone know if fertilizer can be stacked with speed growth or any other?
I placed my ancient tree on tilled land and it's been almost a full season and the land under it is still tilled. I didn't fertilize it though so I won't be able to confirm that, unfortunately. :(

Nope one fertilizer per plot

Ancient seed is a crop not a tree, it just lasts a REALLY long time
So, for the crops that last several seasons (like Corn or the ancient seeds) the fertilizer only counts for the first season and afterwards it's like they're not fertilized?
(after the change from summer to fall the lil "fertilizer-dots" seem to be gone, so I'm wondering if that's just a visual bug or only-one-season-fertilized)

I've read that the fertilizer stops working after a season. I've also read that you can apply speed-gro to existing plants. I don't know if that impacts harvest times for crops like corn though.

Thank you for the hint.
Will try if that works. Only knew so far that usually fertilizer can only be used before planting, which is a bit sad in the terms of corn e.g., since you pretty much waste half the season just so they can grow :(
(Ancient seed pretty much a whole season)
I keep hearing (well, heard it a couple of times) that you can re-apply speed-gro... but can you re-apply fertilizer in the same way?

I've heard that it doesn't. I've never yet used speed-gro, but from what I've read, it only affects initial growth, not regrowth.

Neither does the agriculturalist perk. Not surprising.

That's too bad, though pretty much as I expected.

I just picked Agriculturist to do some growth tests, since it apparently does more than 10% (seems to be 20-50% boost, depending on crop type).

I guess Agriculturist + Speed-Gro would be too OP if they also affected regrowth.

I was planning on testing that combination in my game. I'm just reaching Spring and can test that out on a bunch of spring crops. Dunno whether they stack or not. I'm curious to find out.
