Dont know what to do with greenhouse?
In my opion when i first got greenhouse i thought it was kinda pointless. The layout is kinda stupid being 16x10 when i shouda been like 17x12 but i know what you can do with it that will actully make you lots of money.

Make it a brewery!!! http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=641939715
Its not very hard and if you get 16 barrels instead of 8 like in my screen shot or more you can make more than 4800g every harvest if you make pale ale!

That's an impressive waste of the greenhouse... o.O

You can put kegs anywhere you want. If you want to save space, build a coop or a barn and put them in there.

You can grow any crop all year long in the greenhouse; why would you not do that?!?

Here's a guide for optimal greenhouse crop placement:

And you can just put kegs around the edges of your greenhouse, if you really insist.

I put 12 quality sprinklers and 72 cranberry plants, with quality fertilizer. The rest of the space I used to grow ancient seeds, rare seeds, and starfruit. I'm thinking of taking out the cranberries and slowly switching over to just ancient seeds and starfruit.

edit: It never occurred to me to put sprinklers on the edges. Off to make more sprinklers...

When i was setting this up i was gonna use the 12 sprinkler setup but then i rearanged because the hops are on the stands so you cant walk through them.

Why use hops in the greenhouse at all? I went through year 1 summer growing hops and I had a harvest every day after they were matured. tahts 70 collectable plants a day. I started fall, when I first got my kegs with over 400 hops... There is better plants you can use in there.

That's entirely up to you, of course, but I'm curious: why not use the greenhouse to its full potential?

Putting any non-crop on the tillable land is an incredible waste of space. There is literally no reason to do so, other than perhaps a personal aesthetic preference.

^ This is what I did. Threw my spare ancient fruits into a seedmaker, built some iridium sprinklers and I was golden.
ExpoStealth Mar 9, 2016 @ 7:16pm
i dont have ancient fruit yet :(
Elegant Caveman Mar 9, 2016 @ 7:53pm
Even without ancient fruit, there are plenty of good crops to grow in your greenhouse.

I'd probably go for bluberries (or maybe cranberries?) for selling straight, hops for pale ale or starfruit for wine if you have access to the desert.

Check out the ♥♥♥♥♥ and buy any rare seeds you find there.

I've heard that she stops selling them once you actually plant one, though I'm not sure about that. Just something to keep in mind. Maybe try to get a couple off her before you start planting, to be on the safe side.

No, I bought one, planted it in fall, harvested it, and used it. The next year I bought 3 and planted them in the greenhouse that winter. I haven't seen them since, but it's RNG so hard to say.

this is the worst use of the greenhouse I have ever seen.
Fabi Lumy Mar 9, 2016 @ 8:00pm
Do you realize how valuable every square of the greenhouse is?

If you don't have ancient fruit you can plant anything else, prioritizing the crops that you don't have to replant since they will last forever in the greenhouse. Cranberries are great you can make mass production of jelly/wine.

Or you can plant valuable crops out of season, like pumpkin, melon, red cabbage if you have the seeds.

Good to know, thanks. :)

Here's mine, and I'm not even making the best use of my space. I have 96 Ancient Fruit plants, and I could cram 20 more in there if I moved the barrels outside or to the far edges of the interior. 96 Ancient Fruit wine is worth over 300k

Make better use of your space and you'll make a whole lot more money.
