Scorpion Carp... what am I doing wrong?

I'm missing the Scorpion carp, and it is caught in the desert right? During any season? What did you use to catch yours with? I have the iridium rod, and I was using the trap bobber, should I use the barbed hook?

I'm having a harder time with that thing than I did with the glacierfish. I'm using the same things you said. I'll try going back with some "fishing enhancer food".

There isn't a post on steam about this that I have seen if so can someone link me to one? Any info would be appreciated. I'll also try the lead bobber!

I just caught one. It was not easy, but I did it on winter, during the day, with an Iridium rod, 10 fishing skill, a trap bobber and I also ate a dish o' the sea.

i got it with trap, iridium rod reg bait, and idk my fishing skill but i ate a fish taco prior and omg wtf is the point of this fish its not for the community center its really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard to catch and its pay outs not even worth it. its just an annoying fish

The Scorpion Carp is one of the Fish I eat a DIsh of the Sea just before I start casting.
