Is the Recycling Machine worth?

It's not really worth it, imo... If you fish, you will make more money from fish than refined quartz. It's just a way to recycle trash you get from fishing. You find quartz in the mines frequently if you want quartz.

You can get refined quartz, coal, and cloth among other things. So if you're doing any fishing at all, it's a good idea.

It just gives you a reason to keep 'trash' items that you catch when fishing.

The best you can get from it is iron ore and refined quartz, so it's probably only useful early on.

You can create a recycling farm. Build 10 recycling machines, place lots of crab pots in your pond on the farm and you will catch lots of trash. Now fill your recycling machines with the trash and you get tons of coal/cloth/refined quartz and all of those items are quite good (especially coal and refined quartz). A very good method if you want to build lots of crystal path (5 require 1 refined quartz).

So I wouldnt say it's useless. The question is, how you want to play the game. Nearly everything in this game is useless to some degree :)

I see the recycler more as a way to get resources, not profit. I'm getting plenty of refined quartz, but the crystalarium for quartz seems easier since I only have to load the quartz once.

I only have one recycler which I got from one of the community center bundles. I'm putting the trash/CDs/glasses through it because why not? I don't think I would spend resources building one. Oh, it's also winter so there's not much else to do.

At one point, I had 40 crab pots up and running, and 14 Recyclers... not only do you level up fishing super-fast, (without even using a pole), but the materials are very worthwhile -- cloth for profit, coal, Refined Quartz by the masses.

Depends on your playstyle... but for me, OH YES, totally worth it.

Id say it depends on how often you go fishing (or use crab pots) ...
is you rarely go fishing and don´t use any crab pots at all, a recycling machione is rather useless (too little "raw material" to feed into the machine) else, it is a nice additional resoruce production you get there
