Yeah but the flowers near the bees will make different/better kinds of honey than the wild honey the bees make without flowers.
If there are flowers nearby you get flavored honey worth substantially more.
To the OP: good question. I was wondering whether I would need to harvest the flowers or just leave there there the whole season. I think I'm going to expand my bee boxes and plant flowers around them come spring.
That's great news, since flowers take a while to grow.
Sounds like we're safe just leaving them there.

I assumed that meant wilted ones from previous seasons, but that's a good question.
Squatta's already said in a post above that he just leaves his flowers there and doesn't harvest them, though, so I can't think of what else "dead flowers" might mean other than dying from a season change.
