Just out of curiosity, what happens if you die while in a mine? Do you drop all your gear or what?

you'll lose a lum sum of money (and personal inventories) and even 10s of level of mines...

You lose certain amount of gold, some items from your backpack, and forget last few levels of the mine. It is a pain if you lose your weapon when you die.

Oh wow. Okay thanks for the replies. I've already beaten the mine and I've been in the skull cave but I have not died yet. I'll take it more seriously and GTFO when i'm running low on HP now lol.

Died once in the mines swarmed by flies, lost 2K gold, 9 last levels of mine were wiped and lost 4 items from inventory including my sword. Been extra careful in mines since then to not let that happen again.

Any idea if experience gained from the day is kept?

I'm positive the experience stays, I died in the mines near the end, went home and slept, and leveled up to 5. So yeah, you keep the experience even if you die.

You know what would be an interesting feature? A lost and found service hosted by the adventurers guild. If you die in the mines or caves and you lose some items you can pay a fee (price depending on how deep you were when you died) and after a few days (deeper you died the longer it takes) you can get your items back.

What would also be nice is you don't drop anything that's in the top row of your bag.

Level 31 in the Skull Cavern, lost 19 items including my Galaxy Sword, Tons of Diamonds, Emeralds, and other stuff now I wanna die :v

In the skull cave, beware the serpents. They are fast and have a strange detection on the hitbox. Sometimes I swear that the only way to damage them, is to take some damage yourself. So having 2 flying at you can easily drain your health considerably. If you die in the skull cavern, you'll end up at Harvey's, lose 1000G and lose a chunk of your items in the inventory. If you have tools in your backpack or the galaxy sword, you might lose those too, so be cautious.

However, If you lose your tools, you'll get them back in the mail the next day.

Good thing they patched losing Galaxy Sword to death. Also, 19 items?! My record for most lost in one death is four xD
