How do you get your spouse to 13 hearts?

You need to get them to 13/12 hearts to get them to give you a stardrop, according to the wiki and other sources.

No, 12/12 is what you need, I got my stardrop already, there is no 13.

I just kept giving gifts every day, doing the conversation everyday, and right clicking one afterwards to kiss him. I married Sam and he loves pizza and Joja cola. So I give those to him. I recently started giving gems since I have the crystalarium and not much else to use it for.

Sam's at 13/12 hearts (only visible in the conversation panel) but so far no stardrop. OTOH he might have given it to me early and I forgot, but I don't think so.

So that's why I didn't know about it, it's only visible in the conversation panel, nice to know, I didn't even gift, just talking and kissing everyday got me the stardrop very fast.

No, 12/12 is what you need, I got my stardrop already, there is no 13.

It does go to 13/12. Not sure if that's the Stardrop requirement, but mine frequently goes to 13/12 before randomly dropping to 11/12 for some reason.

My character's married to Alex and it shows 13/12 hearts now. I just kept giving him gifts every day, talking to him, and hugging him. I gave him his favorites whenever I was able to. I'm pretty sure I got the Stardrop event as soon as I hit 12/12, but I didn't look at the panel that day.

I have my wife Haley already at 12 hearts, then I gave her a coconut (one of her favorites) and talked to her again, then she gave me the Stardrop. I have a screenshot on my profile.

Sam gave me a stardrop early also. I can't get over 12 hearts and I give him pizza every day and occasional bouquets.
