wife not asking about having children?

I married maru and bult the nursey 5 days after getting married. Ive been giving her items every day and talking to her while keeping a 13/12 hearts. Its been 2 months and not a word of having kids. Is there a thing with maru not having kids or do you have to be married for so long?

Hey OP, did you figure it out?

I'm in the same boat with Leah. She gave me a stardrop but no talk of kids. Previous run Abby asked about kids within a few days of getting married.

I was finally asked to have kids, she asks you after you have gone to bed. it took me giving her gifts every day for like a month

I've heard that it only happens if you go to bed before your spouse.

It took me two full seasons for her to ask. I didn't go to bed first every night, but most nights. Luckily she likes the mushrooms that I have growing in the cave so I have a good source of daily gifts.

I still think she might be a little bugged, since she rarely helps with the farm. Most days she's standing in the kitchen complaining about the mess.

Anyways, yeah, I've been married to Leah for a while and I almost always go to sleep before her and still she hasn't asked. I also have my house @ lvl3.

I always gave her wine until I got married, and the fruit. But stopped afterwards. I guess I gotta go back to giftin' time.

Also when I made my character, I entered that my favorite thing is: Vag*na.

HAH so the fruit cutscenes says it tastes exactly like it.

Yep, the complaints about the mess are gone now.

Funny thing though. Leah took two seasons to suggest the first child, and then suggested the second baby the same day the first one became a toddler :D

I also have Iridium Sprinklers for my biggest field. They surprisingly (okay not really) water the whole thing.

And about marrying Haley?

Go for it. She has the best story and as far as I am concerned, cutscenes, vs. any other character.

Read somewhere that giving them the bouquet from Pierre's increases the chances of kids. I married Harvey (and play as a girl character) and had my first kid soon after marriage (I had the house upgraded). Harveys reaction to getting a bouqet is either "i accept" or something along the lines of "you want to get more serious? Im nervous arent you?". The latter quote got me a kid soon after and I am currently pregnant with a second child so cheers!
