NPC events
Is it possible to miss character events/cutscenes when you've gotten them up to a certain number of hearts? I noticed after getting two different npcs up to 3 hearts, a cutscene triggered once I walked into their houses. Would I have missed the cutscenes otherwise if I continued to send gifts their way for more hearts without heading in?

The only way I think you can miss one of their cutscenes is what happened to me, marriage. I know for a fact that Penny has an event I didn't see yet, but now that I married her, the conditions for the event can no longer happen, because your spouse moves in with you and this event would be triggered in her trailer. Otherwise, there should be no way to miss any. Not that I know of, at least.

Yes you can, I got Leah to 7 hearts, at 8 hearts she triggers an event near her house where she is trying to get something from a tree, at 10, a picnic. I gave her wine on her birthday which took her from 7 to 10, and it triggered the picnic, skipping the 8 heart event.

But does that mean that the 8 heart event can't happen anymore? By the way, your situation could be similar to mine, unless you ran into a bug, since singles are not supposed to have more than 8 hearts before you give then the bouquet. Therefore, the only way to "skip" an event would be to advance the relationship beyond a point where the event could still trigger.

Yeah it can't happen anymore. I never got it. It jumped straight from 7, to 10, i gave her the mermaid thing and got married.

Weird, I got penny advances to 9 hearts and I didn't give her the bouquets dunno if I could advance to 10 hearts though, is it possible if we pick a choice that doesn't lead to romance? At the trailer event when she cooking I pick the honest answer

You can miss an event if it overlaps with the trigger conditions for another event. This is a bug, and CA is working on stamping it out where people report it occurring, but the most common ones seem to be the Marriage event and Leah's Art Gallery showing.

If you do miss an event, you can "fix" it by removing the event ID from your save file in %appdata%\StardewValley\Saves and then attempting to trigger it again, but obviously this requires modifying your save file and carries some element of risk.

In the case of the heart events, I believe triggering the later events requires you to have first seen all of the earlier events, but I'd have to test it to be sure.

This things are a bit off, a bit bugged if you might.

I missed Haley 2 heart cutscene, but when I got her 8 hearts event, 2 days later I went into her house to give quest item to her sister and boom... her 2 heart event triggered.

It was weird because she didnt remembered my name then, but we just were playing together 2 days ago. It makes for funny stuff, if you think Haley doesnt want others to think she is being friendly with me.
