So, I enjoyed the game. Up until the momet when spirit of that old douche rose up and stated that I am a failure.
I find it somewhat challenging to continue playing now.

I had the exact same experience. For the "end" of the game, it certainly was lackluster. Being trolled at the end of the game and getting a low score even if you have a family and tons of money is kind of insulting. I had nearly a million gold shipped, over 100k in the bank, a wife, a kid, near max level everything and lots of friends. What does Grandpa say to that? Er, well, I'm sure you tried your best. x.x

You're not alone in being disappointed in Grandpa, but I still have a ton of fun in the game. I'm the farmer now, not him.

I thought he wouldn't appear until the end of year 3, not the beginning of it. I got a 5/13. >.<

That part is a real disappointment.
You work hard, everything is running well and the old guy shuts you down.

Yes, I am serious.
I checked what "feats" I had to do after than and that did not relief me much.

Basicly, that is a way of developer/game poking you with "Hey, you played this game wrong - you suck and you are supposed to strive for 100% everything since day 1"

The worst part is that he doesn't even have the right to say anything, the farm didn't have any barn, coop, processing machine like a keg or cheese press, and the house didn't have any upgrade, and he had what? 80 years? We had 2, fk him he's just jealous we did a better job in 2 years than he could do in his entire life. =P

This topic makes me worried... if the grandpa is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ why is he even there? and that is also not end of the game... from my knowledge the main storyline of this game is the community center stuff, so after you finish the community center that is when you have ended the game and is in the end game stuff afterwards, and looking at my playthough I'm at the end of 1st year, I've just completed only my first bundle yesterday. I'm asuming I'll be playing this for next few weeks meaning at least a few more in game years. I'll probably done at around 6 years in game maybe?

There is no way to play the game wrong. It's like being angry at Minecraft because a real person says your building that you made sucks. The game is enjoyable (At least to me) because of what you do with your time. I didn't even know the ghost even existed until it happened. I got a 4/10 and Idgaf because I enjoy playing the game for what it is. I mean you're of course welcome to have your own opinions, I just think it's a lame way to be about a fantastic game. If I were you I'd keep playing because the mechanics and content are awesome.
