Greenhouse - Can you grow a fruit tree?

05/04/2016 Edit - New patch apparently does not allow you to plant fruit trees in your greenhouse anymore.

Original - I tried growing an apple tree for almost a week and it didn't change from being a seed. Just wanted to find out if anyone else tried and was successful.

I just grew a pomegranate tree during the fall season in my greenhouse. It flowered a pomegranate on Winter day 5...and I'm not stupid.

Calm down guys.. the option to plant trees in a greenhouse was disabled after a certain patch..
but then was re-implemented again in a following patch.

Short answer: YOU CAN PLANT TREES IN A GREENHOUSE NOW !

I started growing trees, and all of them have finished, except for the pomegranate tree. It's stuck at its second to last phase. I don't know what to do. I need a pomegranate to finish the community center. I planted them in the greenhouse like you did. What did I do wrong?

Did u have any sprinklers near those trees growing. The game apparently consider those debris and stop them from growing of they are close by.

Note this does not apply when the tree is fully grown. 2 of my apple trees stop growing bc I had 2 iridium sprinklers within the 9 block space of it. Once I moved them away, they started growing again.

Yes, Fruit Trees can be grown in the Greenhouse. All 8 spots surrounding the tree must be kept clear during the growing phase.
