I have just noticed the doll house, and I'm wondering the same. But why specifically would the granpa be under the bed? I feel it might be a reference to something, but I can't think what it might be

I thought it was because her Grandpa suffered some kind of terminal illness. My other thought is maybe Jas is secretly a lost cousin to your character, since your Grandpa was shown in his bed in the intro.

I always just figured she's a, well, 5 year old girl. Back when my sister played with a dollhouse she often had about 8 naked barbies in the attic.
Seemed to me like just a girl thing.

The Grandpa doll could relate to Mayor Lewis, since his shorts were in Marnie's room, perhaps Jas is upset about the affair.

All my barbies ended up naked with cut hair in the basement. Once I used nail clippers on one, took off her fingers, toes, and nose.
It sounds messed up, I know. But I was like...seven? I was curious and failed to understand I couldn't undo this stuff. Also my parents stopped buying me dolls after the nail clipper incident, so...
