Animals don't eat indoors during winter?
I'm pretty sure this is a bug, but I have 4 chickens, 2 cows and a goat, 2 silos full of hay, it's been 15 days into winter and none of them has eaten a single piece of hay. anybody else having these problems? And should I worry about any reprecussions if they don't eat for long periods? Thanks :)

Are you sure they didn't eat? If you have the last level of the coop/barn the building will restock the feed automatically. Check your silo to see if your reserves are really not being deducted.

To add to Hurodrik's response: Unless you have the Deluxe Coop / Deluxe Barn, there's no "auto-feeder". You have to go in there and manually put hay in their feeding trough. (There's a dispenser next to the trough for you to get the hay out of.)

Yeah there's about 30 hay in each trough and my hay is still full (I think 2 silos is 480)? they also haven't produced eggs or milk as they have been grumpy from the non-feeding. Is there a hand feeding option I wonder?

Troughs can't hold 30 hay. They can hold (at least for the coop) 4, 8, or 12 hay, depending on the level of advancement. I assume barns are similar. So it sounds like you're doing something wrong with regards to feeding them.

Perhaps a screenshot of the inside of your barn or coop would help?

Yes, two silos can contain 480 units of hay. Man, thats odd. I don't think you can feed them by hand. When you click them twice, does it say they are thin?

you need to pick up the hay then add it to the bench like thing a feeding trough the thing thats next to the dispenser

The barn is indeed similar. I will say the trough looks like a bench for seating though. My first chickens were thin a few rainy days before I figured out how to manually feed them.

The auto feeding doesn't happen until you upgrade to level 3, the deluxe versions.

Yeah you are deinitely doing something wrong. You have to take the feed from the hopper and manually place it on the feeding trough, unless you have deluxe barn/coop/
