Lake or River?
So the ponds and the ocean are easy to figure out, but what is this game calling and lake and what is it calling a river? I think the rever is the one just below the livestock store, but I have no idea where the lake is. Please help I need to know exactly where the lake is and where the river is...

Lakes are outside the mines, another to the right of the wizard's tower, and the one below Leah's house. The lakes by the mines and Leah's house become rivers as you travel downwards.

Largemouth Bass can be found at the lake ouside the mine.
At least that's where I've got one.
yes the water by the mine is considered a lake. Some fish only appear during certain seasons, times of day and if its raining or not. Keep trying. Also check the wiki if you want to know which fish can be caught when/where.

For the Largemouth Bass that would be 6 am to 7 pm all seasons at any weather.

The only lake is the one near the mine.

The ocean is whatever you access from the beach.

The forest pond is in the secret forest you access north of the wizard tower.

Everything else counts as a river.

(except the ponds on your land, I believe, which count as jack squat and will only give you trash... though I've heard you can put crab pots there, and it should count as freshwater)
What? What about the lake close to Marnie's ranch? That is clearly a lake.

No I think he's right, I only catch River fish from the water close to Marnie's Ranch.

The forest pond has carp, which is a lake fish, so I guess it also counts as a lake. It's only "special" because it's the only place in the game with Woodskip, as long as I can tell.

It's a pond. Not a lake. And somehow, "pond" counts as river.

If you'll notice, in the wiki, for carp, it says "Lake/Forest Pond".

The forest pond is the forest pond, not a lake. These are two different things.
