Winter Seeds -- dead???
At first I was under the impression that you were unable to grow anything in the winter - crops wise. Then I came across the Winter Wild Seeds pack and saw that it said that you could plant them during the winter, looked into it further, and found that other people were growing these in winter as well. I planted them in my sprinkler system surrounded crop fields. 3 game days later and they are all still seeds? I think they are dead? How does that make any sense? What did I do wrong? Any ideas?

I planted a 200 square field of winter seeds on my last winter and it grew fine. From what you said they are being watered so that couldn't be the issue... I wish I knew what was wrong, but I can't find the problem with what you said. Did you plant them on tilled soil?

Yes I planted them on tilled soil... Should I not have? I'm wishing I just sold the seeds instead, since they're worth quite a bit... :'(

Give them a little more time. They need some time if I remember correctly.

This might be it. Since the crop is random, maybe you just got some of the ones that take a little longer to grow. I planted mine in tilled soil too, so that's not the issue.

I hope you're right. I'd be sad if all of the seeds were wasted.. This game has me to involved lol..

From the picture that I added though, does it look like they're dead or do they look okay?

"I'm not a seed scientist", but they look normal to me, in a "recently planted seed" kind of way. =P

LMAO I suppose I am being quite "these seeds are my child and I am their mother" when it comes to my crops. We shall see what happens! But thanks for the help. :)

Planted some, grew fine. I don't remember how long it took for them to go from the "just planted" look to the "we're growing!" look, but 3 days sounds like a lot... I would have expected at least some difference by the next day.

From the screenshot, everything looks fine, and they should grow...

Give it another day or two, see if something changes. Otherwise, there might be a bug, I guess.

I don't remember how long mine took to grow, but it wasn't that long. Maybe a week or so in total?

That varies because each of the species has a different growth period. But about a week for most of them seems right. Maybe a little less. I recall harvesting constantly because they got ready at different days.

I have issues like this as well but not just with those. Sometimes I plant seeds water them every day and it takes much much longer than it says.

Odd. Mine were all ready on the same day.

Hello Winter crops only have two forms. Seeds and the crop itself. It takes 7 days for them to grow. So you will not see them grow into plants until that last day? I think anyway.

They do change their look a bit as they grow.

I actually have some growing right now. This is what they look like a few days after being planted:

Wild Seeds randomly produce one of the available wild fruits/vegetables/flowers for the season.
The growth time for all of these is the same.

Then I was wrong about the growth time. It might be that I got that impression because I had 200 plots to plant, but didn't start the season with 200 seeds. Meaning I planted as I crafted more, and it made it seem that the growth time was different. That and the fact that some of my crops seem to "lose a day of growth" randomly every once in a while.
