Lures only last 1 cast??
Hi! I recently aquired a magnetic lure in game. I headed to the nearest bridge, cast out and caught a pike, then was told my lure was gone?!? I know bait only lasts for 1 cast but lures as well?

Most lures have a "health bar" that goes down with each use, like barbed hook or cork one. I know magnetic is a lousy 1 time use and I suspect another one that's overly decorated (forgot the name) to be the same.

I believe you're referring to the dress spinner. That one seems to break a lot for me too. Now I just use a combo of bait with the lure that makes fish escapes slower.

I have also encountered this issue with Magnetic Lure when added to Iridium rod. I placed it into the rod and it took the place of the bait (swapped it out to the cursor). Wondering what the issue was, I swapped them back and forth a few times, trying holding alt, shift, etc. Wondering if it was a brief glitch, I cast into the small pool in the default farm. This used up the lure only yeilding a catch of trash. I then tried another tackle (the hook icon one...), which, in contrast, did place itself into the tackle/bobber section of the pole's UI.

I was just testing out tackle to see how they worked with my shiny new rod, so not devistated, but would see this as being a bug from a user perspective.

The magnet is "bait". Meaning it's single use. It's really only good for artifact hunting, or if you've got boatloads of money to waste...

Using the magnetic bait along with the treasure hunter tackle makes it about 1/3 chance by my records of getting treasure... Still not great, for the cost.

Yeah, it's not a lure, it's treasure bait. This is not a glitch, it's just bait.

It's good once you're at the point where you have ridiculous money and mostly just care about results, not costs. If you also have lv10 fishing for Pirate, your chances of treasure are pretty nice.

Although, you're probably better off hunting for treasures the normal ways once you've caught every kind of fish, but it's great until then.

Huh, cool I guess. Thanks for clearing that up for me. Description doesn't really make that clear, but if it's working as designed that's fine. Well worth playing even with a few moments of confusion.
