Weird skull icon

I was poking around the mines and got to a level where the level number on the top left was replced by a skull icon instead. Does anyone know what it means? If there was mant to be a boss or something nothing showed up as I killed everything there to check.

An infested floor keep killing stuff on it.

There's no boss. It appears to be a kill room. You have to eliminate all enemies for the ladder to appear.

It's an infested level where you have to kill every monster to get further down

Well, there actually is the chance to find a slime floor deeper in the mine; I found one and there WAS a pretty large slime with no eyes or little antenna-thing, along with many medium-sized slimes.

I've found a giant slime floor before with the big ones that break into baby slimes, it's a fun level as long as you can dodge their charges, lol(and great for the kill 1000 slimes quest).

On a random note: is it just me that feels bad for killing those little dust mote mobs with the cute squeaks? I want one as a pet, lol.

Huge slimes are common enemies in the 2nd dungeon.

Everything got a lot easier once I got a trident that does like 30 damage from fishing.

no idea if its a boss..but i came across a green bouncing thing with a yellow star on its head..beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of me,then i was knocked out and robbed of 11 items lol

That's a boss slime. I got a weapon off of one.

Also on a kill level slime room, I saw one slime chasing another, chased slime had ! over its head (well, body) and the chaser had a heart above its own. They ran over until a wall stopped them, and instantly spawned two slime babies (they were not giants, there were those present too). Cute...

Lol. I ran across a teeny tiny baby slime among a mob of other slimes once. So cute

that is an infested floor, it can happen any time (i got it in my first floors)

As i remember, trident is a dagger. Welp, some peopl like daggers, but those cant do aoe like swords. And dagger is kinda weak weapon compared to other. Rush down to bottom, get skull cave and goto desert for 2nd dungeon.
There you can get Prismatic Shard, goto on point between 3 pillars in desert, pick shard and game will give you really nice sword. After that you'll be able to purchase Galaxy weapons in Adventurers Guild.
