Where can I buy food to eat?
Hi all,

Just started this game and I find my guy runs out of energy really quick which is limiting my progress as can only do a bit of work before he is beat. I cannot find anywhere to buy food to replenish his energy so I have to resort to eating flowers and trash (I am not proud of this) just to squeeze in more than 2 hours of work a day.

Anybody know where I can get more food?

You can buy food at the Bar/Saloon from Gus.

The Bar in the Town has food. And during certain seasons, fruit will randomly be on the ground. Also, be sure to watch your tv before you leave your house everyday. You could learn a new recipe for cooking. :)

The Salon sells food. And you can eat crops and berries and stuff. Dunno if its available from the beginning, but the tv informed me about an area one day where spring onions grow during spring. The forest/Lake area below the farm, all the way down to the sewer opening.

Early on in farming, you learn a recipie called something like farmers snack. It takes 1 of each of the kind of tree seeds and produces an edible item that gives 45 energy which is about as good as you can expect at this point. Works really well.

One of the foregable items in spring also restores around 40 energy. (The other two only return 12 or so, and are best as simple gifts or for selling.) And around mid spring there are berries that restore 25 each but you can find 40-60 of them around.

Theres a few quest or scripted events that will give you one off meals that restore 90-150 energy you can save for special days as well.

I am not sure when exactly you are expected to have access to the kitchen progression wise, and there are several progression tracks you can potentially take as well. Proably not at least until Summer. At which point you can start considering planting enough crops that it requires at least meal refill before finishing your chores.

There is also non-energy chores to run during the day such as foraging, running into town to shop, break geodes, being social, examing the town events and quest, ect.
