in a keg you can make 1 wheat to 1 beer which is worth 200g

Which could have been usefull if my kegs weren't full during the summer with hops making pale ale. Which is worth more than beer, the same processing time and it requires less room for crops to fill an equal amount of kegs.

Except that hops take most of the month to grow, and wheat takes 4 days to grow. So until your hops are ready, brew beer with wheat.

i prefer to use my kegs to make melon wine its like over 1000G for one

i think i will suggest to the creator that he make us a cute little windmill to process the wheat

judging by the fodder bundle, I think wheat was at one time planned to be used as fodder but this was later scrapped, leaving us with this "poor man's hops" version.
Would also love it if we could process wheat further into flour for cooking, etc. Maybe CA can add that into a future update.

Yeah wheat is trash at the moment. It'd be hugely more useful if you could, say, craft it into hay. Or mill your own flour and sell that.

I use it to hold the tilled soil, if I'm not planting blueberries or anything that regrows every few days. If you notice, when plants die at the end of the season, the tilled soil stays put. Harvest your last batch of actual crops by the 27th and plant the wheat. They will die on the first, but after you scythe them, which is by far much faster than hoeing and watering even with iridium tools, your field is ready for fertilizer and your choice of crop. I have had an instance where they bugged out and lasted through autumn, so I had to wait 3 days to harvest them before planting the autumn crops.

That said, I only used wheat this way because it's the cheapest summer crop (10g per seed)

beer beer and more beer
It's a way to make a cheap buck at the start of the game.

Wheat grows in fall, too.

Wheat is useful for keeping your fertilizer un-disappear in fall.
If you use a fertilizer on Summer 1st and your harvest will be ready before/on Summer 25th, try delaying the harvest until the 25th unless it's a crop that keeps producing. Harvest on 25th and replant with wheat. This will conserve your fertilizer.
