I always have Half Energy
Every day I go to sleep and wake up with half energy. By the time I water my plants and cut down 2 trees I'm exhausted. Ending my day at around 11 am. I have no money for food and my first crops haven't come in yet.

That's why you only have half energy all the time. If you let your energy drop below 0 and get the status "exhausted", you'll wake up with half energy the next day. If you get exhausted again then, it becomes an endless circle. Either don't let your energy drop below 0, or buy medicine from the town's doctor to remove exhaustion immediately.

The later you sleep, the less energy you get. If you sleep at 12am, your energy penalty isn't that much. But if you sleep after 1am, it's about half energy the next day.

I think that happens when you go to bed too early. Try to do it at 10 pm or so.

Go around foraging, looking for drops on the gorund (dandelions and such)

Are you actually fully exhausting yourself (to the point where you move slowly)? I believe that penalises you the next day. You want to stop just short of that point.

You don't actually need to eat, but if you want food you can get some for free by foraging or fishing.

I go to bed about 1:30 every night. Make the most of each day. Cus down some trees and forge some field snacks if u are not far in to the game

It doesnt matter at all when you go to bed, at least i never experienced ANY change in how much energy i get no matter the time i got to bed.

This is totaly the fault of going to bed with literaly no energy.

Wait until your crops grow, or buy something in Pierre's or in the Saloon. If you haven't got money, remove tall grass and sell the fiber. Doing that with the correct tool doesn't waste any energy.

There should be berries on the bushes in most seaons -- those are super for regaining energy.

But the thing is if you go to bed with low energy before midnight, you regain your energy fully. If you go to bed later than that, your energy doesn't regen fully.
