Can I move a silo?
If no, does it matter at all where I put it?

No, you cannot. It doesn't matter where you put it, but don't put it anywhere you'll walk regularly and want to put a path. (Paths you lay down increase walk/run speed slightly). To "move" any building you essentially build a new one and demolish the old one.

this is incorrect. paths do not give you a speed boost. they are purely cosmetic and prevent stone/wood/grass from spawning on that block

Interestingly, you can demo one of you silos and not lose the hay contained therein. I had three full silos, demo'd one, and had 720/480 Hay available.

Not sure if this works if you demo your only silo.

Looks to me like my character runs faster than on the ground. I don't think it's confirmation bias. The speed boost isn't great though, but it's noticeable.
Cool, I just stuck it in the corner right above the small pond near your house.

just put silos in corners, you should never have a problem then.

You can but you gotta make sure you use your legs, not your back
