Does Grape Quality affect the quality of the wine?
Considering that I made several barrels of wine with SIlver Star grapes as ingredient and all (so far) came out as No Star-Quality wine, I wonder whether the grape quality has any influence on the resulting product

Does anyone know anything about this? (for example official postings by the developer here or in the Chucklefish-Forum)

If grape quality has no influence o0n the wine quality at all, at least with regards to increasing the chances to get a better product, it would be rather strange IMHO (considering that in real life grape quality is the main influence factor for the quaslity of the resulting wine)

Afaik, the jar and keg don't carry over quality like the mayo and cheese makers.

The quality of vegetables and fruits have no influence on the price of the things they produce in the keg or the preserves jar. The price is solely dependent on what kind of fruit/vegetable you put in.

I sell the higher quality produce and only make preserves/wine from normal quality since higher quality inputs do not yield higher quality outputs.

Pity ... I would have hoped that raw material quiality matters ...
but well, guess I will adapt as well and only make things out of No Star-Quality fruits then

Do what I did and just plant as many hops plants as you have kegs in the summer. They produce daily after they grow (12-13 days I think?). The pale ale takes like 2 days max.

further developed stuff only takes base values into account. so if you have basic, silver and gold star crops, always use the lowest quality first on kegs/etc and sell the highest quality manually.

Ya... I love this game... but this is a serious balancing issue. I really wanted to make a vineyard, grow grapes and make awesome wine. But as stands, as NakaVS noted, hops grows faster than grapes, creates pale ale four times faster than grapes make wine, AND I'm pretty sure that pale Ale sells for twice as much as wine...

As much as I love my idea for creating a world renouned vineyard in sleepy little Stardew Valley, and putting it on the map... It doesnt look like that is going to happen... At the very least there should be a way to age the wine to perfection, or crossbread dif rare grape types. Chucklefish, I love you guys, and Concerned Ape you are the man for doing this project solo... but I can not give this game a thumbs up until I get my vineyard! :SBpanda:

I don't think grapes are worth much as wine in this game. Try other fruits. Cranberries, crystal fruit, etc.
