Are there love interest rivals?

I hope I worded that correctly. I remember in Harvest Moon:MM you always had a rival trying to woo the same girl/guy you were, and it seems like some of the characters seem like good matches (ex. Sebastian and Abigail). I haven't gotten far enough in to see yet, but does this game have any of that.

I think the rivals are implied, but there's nothing concrete. I hope it's something CA adds one day.
