Need to water crops on first day of planting?

So I know day 1 - when you plant the seed - does not count towards their grow time. Does watering them on this day too not count? I put down sprinklers, but ofc they haven't watered that area yet....

I haven't done this myself, but they will still need the water to show growth on the next day. Because if they aren't watered, they can't grow for tomorrow

Of course it counts.

After all, the seeds turn into seedlings the very next day — if you water them.

Needless to say, you'll have to use the watering can.
