Need quest help (Mayor's Shorts, Linus Blackberry Basket)

Where do I find Mayor Lewis Shorts and Linus Blackberry Basket?

I've looked everywhere but I haven't found any of those items yet.

Mayor's shorts are in Marnie's Bedroom. Linus' basket is by the bus station, go left from the bus down the tunnel.

i thought that mayors shorts quest was very strange..
he wants you to find and return them VERY DISCRETLY, but he doesnt know where they are? just how many women in the town is he porking that he forgot where he left his underwear? if they were just missing, he wouldnt have been so insistant about the discretion, so he obviously knew he was doing something naughty ...

I thought the guy lost them when he went swimming because I got the quest in the summer...

I got the mayor's shorts quest, but I'm not good enough friends with Marnie yet, so I can't go in her room and get them. I've been focusing on basic survival and just occasionally talking to villagers. Guess I need to start taking her presents all the time.
