Spouse changing wallpaper

Had my spouse for 7 days now and he has already changed the wallpaper. It wouldn't be an issue if Wallpaper and Flooring wasn't consumable, and if Piere's selection wasn't entirely random. Getting the wallpaper as a gift would have been a much better alternative.

Is this something he's going to be doing a lot, because it kind of ruins the idea of customizing the house.

Also, my kitchen flooring keeps changing from wood to checker tile and back, and will randomly remove any flooring option I put on it.

I married penny and she has only changed the wallpaper once in the two years we have been married. It was the kitchen wallpaper and I had ever had the walls decorate, they were always the original, but then she changed them to a powdered bark blue colored and let me tell you i wasnt happy. I havent tried to change it yet though so I dont know if she only does the kitchen or what.

In my case, the wallpapers were not changed, but "moved", and it clearly looked as a glitch, as if rooms had a number, 1 to 4, and the spouse room number was put in the middle and some rooms got their walls moved to the next, it was very annoying actually, not only I have not recovered the original wallpaper for the upper room, I had to wait a ton of months to change the living room back to what I had.

Right after marrying Penny she did that to my house then i exited the game and did the marriage day over again and my house was back to normal. I just by extra sets of wall paper and flooring now to make sure she doesnt ♥♥♥♥ up my house anymore.

Question: does the wallpaper change happen solely at a specific wall (I.E., the "north" wall), or can it happen because of *any* wall, or doesn't matter, it happens?

If it happens when facing a directional wall, or at any wall, I could recommend trying placing funiture, chests, and crafting machines anywhere to prevent them from reaching the wall, but my gut says the change in wp will happen regardless.

Just curious.

I have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mushrooms on my walls. All of them. She couldn't even pick different wallpaper for different rooms. Just. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Mushrooms.

My spouse has never done this. Do they have to have a certain amount of hearts to do it? Not that I'm complaining, I've seen the wallpapers spouses choose and they are mostly hideous xD

Eliott changed all the flooring and the wallpaper on our wedding day and it's pissing me off. I had everything perfect

Aww I'm not looking forward to this. I really like my current Wallpaper I set up. At the least the spouse could *discuss* it with us before changing it!

House re-decoration (and projects in general) is a huge part of marital stress and fighting :D

I'll make sure to change it immediately every time my spouse changes it just to show them who is boss in our home :P

I decorated mine and Sebastian's bedroom with a red rug and skull wallpaper. I woke up / came home the next day, and found the wallpaper had been changed. Now, the children's wallpaper was in the kitchen, and the skeleton wallpaper was in the nursery... Kinda buggy. Or Sebastian hates our kids.
