I only got to level 10 of the mines by the end of fall 1. I concentrated on the mine in winter and got to level 100 and gathered enough gold and iron to make 16 sprinklers and to upgrade most of my tools to iron and one to gold by spring.
You are right, I meant to say iron lol, thanks! Setting up sprinklers really wasn't on my todo list until I expanded my farm to the point that it now takes all morning to water the crops.
At the very least farm iron for a bit and get 6-8 normal sprinklers but no more as it will be enough until you the to gold.
You could always buy the ore from clint if you are making enough money but the prices needs a lot of work still as they are unbalanced of buying vs reselling.
